sustainable.regional.fair
The nationwide tandem program "PraxisIMPULSE" ended on March 28, 2024. Fifteen destination management organizations from all over Germany worked intensively together for nine months to develop solutions for strengthening climate and biodiversity protection in tourism.
In cooperation with various organizations, joint approaches were developed to promote climate protection and biodiversity in tourism. The participants had the opportunity to get to know each other, exchange ideas, and develop joint projects during various meetings. Mentors provided the destinations with professional support. The digital closing event on March 28, 2024, provided an opportunity to present the joint projects and results as well as to reflect on the past months.
The program was funded by the Federal Environment Agency and with funds from the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection.
The tandem Bremerhaven and Freiburg
Under the slogan "Discover Bremerhaven (or Freiburg): sustainable. regional. fair.", Bremerhaven and Freiburg each developed a "Sustainability Guide" featuring regional products and other climate-friendly offerings. The goal was to make such products and offerings more easily discoverable for both guests and citizens. Available in the City-App BremerhavenGuide from autumn 2024.
